Morgan Gay nominated as NDP candidate in Ottawa South
At a packed nomination meeting on March 5th 2019, the Ottawa South NDP nominated Morgan Gay as their candidate for the 2019 federal election.
Morgan is an activist, dedicated volunteer and community leader.
He is a National Negotiator with the Public Service Alliance of Canada; co-Chair and co-founder of Pacifi, an organization promoting peace and nuclear disarmament; Director and Secretary of the Alta Vista Community Association; Board member of Billings Estate Historical Site Board; and has been a long-time delegate to the Ottawa District Labour Council.
A long-time resident of Ottawa South, Morgan lives in Alta Vista with his wife Suzanne, their daughter Ruth, and their dog Melvin.
Morgan is committed to campaigning on a bold and progressive agenda that responds to the climate crisis, income inequality, and increased investments in our public services.
“I am honoured to be the candidate for the NDP in Ottawa South. From housing, to pharmacare, to climate change, the NDP has the right policies for Ottawa South. I am committed to working tirelessly, knocking on every single door, and building on the NDPs success in the last election to elect an NDP MP in Ottawa South. I’m excited to begin the campaign.” said Gay during his speech.
Since he’s announced his intention to seek to the NDP nomination for Ottawa South, Morgan has garnered some support from a variety of important people.
